PhD student in Political Science and International Relations

My name is Henrique Fraga Palumbo, I’m 26 years old, I have a degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in International Relations from the School of Economics and Management at the University of Minho (EEG|UMinho). In the academic year (2022/2023) I joined the Doctoral Programme in Political Science and International Relations at the University of Minho, with the aim of pursuing the creation of innovation and studies in the areas of security, artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligence communities, and in the future to become a lecturer. My master’s thesis, “The European Union Intelligence and Situation Centre (IntCen) under analysis: what are the dynamics of its evolution?”, supervised by Professor Alena Vieira, gave me a greater insight into issues covering intelligence institutions and how the emergence of rising technologies, such as AI, are increasingly emerging issues. Therefore, my PhD research will focus on the transatlantic co-operation of intelligence communities (EU-US) with regard to artificial intelligence.
