Muhammed Can é aluno de Doutoramento em Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais na Universidade do Minho, Portugal. É licenciado em Economia pela Universidade de Selçuk, Turquia. Concluiu os seus estudos de pós-graduação na Universidade de Swansea (Relações Internacionais) e no King’s College London (Espionage and Surveillance Studies), no Reino Unido. Tendo completado estudos de pós-graduação, juntou-se a um programa de formação avançada (Estudos de Terrorismo) na Universidade de St. Andrews, no Reino Unido. Anteriormente, foi investigador visitante no King’s College London (Departamento de Estudos de Guerra) e membro colaborador do Centro de Investigação em Ciência Política (CICP) da Universidade do Minho.
