Paulo Duarte is an Assistant Professor at Lusophone University of Porto, and Assistant Professor at University of Minho and researcher (post-doc) at the Research Center in Political Science, University of Minho. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Political and Social Sciences from the Catholic University of Louvain. Specialist in Chinese and Central Asia Strip and Route, he carried out extensive doctoral research (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan) with a grant from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
