Paulo Duarte at Sic Notícias analyzes Xi Jinping’s visit to Portugal and the future of Portugal’s relations with China and the West


Paulo Duarte, collaborative member of the Research Center in Political Science (CICP) and Professor of the Department of International Relations and Public Administration of the University of Minho, was invited by Sic Notícias to analyze the visit of Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, to Portugal.

Specialist in Asian Geopolitics, Paulo Duarte commented on the meeting between President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and Xi Jinping – an unprecedented event from the historical, geoeconomic and geopolitical point of view – and analyzed the relationship between Portugal and China and its possible implications for the relations of Portugal with the West: the European Union and the United States of America.
