Seminar “The evolution of Russian active measures: the case of Operation Ghostwriter”


The Research Centre in Political Science (CICP) invites all interested parties to attend the seminar “The evolution of Russian active measures: the case of Operation Ghostwriter”, to be held at 17pm on April 12, in CP2 room 2.10, University of Minho.

The event will be presented by Professor Nerijus Maliukevičius.


About the guest speaker:

Nerijus Maliukevičius is a scientific researcher and lecturer at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science (Vilnius University). He is the leading Lithuanian expert on propaganda and information warfare, strategic communication, and conflict management as well as Russian studies. Nerijus Maliukevičius is the author of two books about Russian information warfare strategies. His research focuses on tackling disinformation challenges, enhancing media literacy competencies, and building societal resilience to fake news and media manipulation. His recent projects and grants include: “Lithuanian Society’s Fight Against Disinformation: Situation Analysis and Recommendations” (Eastern European Studies Centre, Vilnius, 2021); “Strategic narrative of Georgia” (Georgian Center for Strategy and Development, Tbilisi, 2019). Nerijus Maliukevičius was invited guest lecturer at European University Munich (Germany), Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia), and EuroCollege at the University of Tartu (Estonia).
