Ph.D. Candidate in Contemporary History (University of Évora)

João Fusco Ribeiro is a PhD candidate with a FCT Scholarship in Contemporary History at the Research Center for Political Science at the University of Évora, Portugal. He participated as an archival researcher on the FCT funded project “Historical Sources of Transnational Regionalism in Southern Africa: The Liberation Movements and White Africa as Driving Forces (1960-1980)” conducted at CICP. His research concentrates on Social Assistance Policies of the early Estado Novo, Angolan Liberation Movements, and the Portuguese-speaking Africa Decolonisation process.
