The Research Center in Political Science (CICP) invites all interested parties to attend the seminar “Corporatization in Local Government around the World”, ao be held at 3 pm on Friday, May 7, via colibri-zoom. The event is organised under the scope of the Doctoral Program in Administrative Sciences, of the School of Economics and Management, University of Minho, and has as guest speaker Professor Bart Voorn (Radboud University).

About our Guest Speaker:
Bart Voorn, Ph.D. (1994) is assistant professor at Radboud University. He studies the reasons for and effects of municipally-owned corporations, as well as the efficacy of local government in general. Bart holds Masters’ degrees in Economics and Political Science (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam and VU University Amsterdam respectively and a Ph.D. from Radboud University. Before his PhD, Bart worked as a policy researcher and political lobbyist in Washington DC. In 2019 Bart became the youngest ever assistant professor in public administration in the Netherlands.
