The Research Center in Political Science (CICP) invites all interested parties to attend the VIII CICP Seminar Commemorating the Day of Europe titled “Bússola Estratégica: uma visão sobre o seu significado”, to be held at 09h45 of May 16, via videoconference Colibri-Zoom.
The Seminar will be presented by Brigadeiro-General Ana Baltazar (Subdiretora-Geral de Política de Defesa Nacional).

About our Guest Speaker:
Brigadier-General 100874-k Ana Rita Duarte Gomes Simões Baltazar was born in Figueira da Foz on April 2, 1973.
She joined the Air Force Academy on September 19, 1991, and after graduating in Aeronautical Military Sciences-Aeronautical Engineering (Air Force), she was promoted to Ensign on October 1, 1996. In 2005-2006 she attended the Senior Officer Promotion Course, in 2007-2008 she attended the Joint Staff, in November 2009 she became Master in Peace and War Studies-New International Relations and in 2020 she obtained her PhD in Management at the Technical University of Lisbon-ISEG where she is a researcher in the area of human error and organizational error. Over the years, she has attended several courses at NATO SCHOOL and an executive program at the Catholic University.
Of the published works stands out the co-authorship in the book “The Transformation of Aerospace Power: and International Trends and the Force expeditionary operations”, by Frontier Chaos, in December 2013.
As a colonel, between September 2017 and November 2020, she was Defense Attaché in Germany, Norway, Sweden, and Poland.
