José Palmeira is Assistent Professor at the Department of Political Science of the School of Economics and Management of University of Minho. He is a member of the board of the European Studies Section of the Portuguese Association of Political Science (APCP). He has served as chairman of the Council of Economic, Business and Political Science Courses and as director of the Political Science and International Relations Section, as well as directing bachelors and masters degrees in International Relations and Political Science. He was also director of the Political Science and International Relations Research Center (NICPRI) and its journal (at the time named Perspectivas – Portuguese Journal of Political Science), as well as the official representative of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR).
Currently, Professor José Palmeira is an Editor of Perspectivas – Journal of Political Science.
